About Simge Çam
Simge Çam’s practice moves between dynamic physicality and expressive movement, shaped by her background in Street Jazz, heels and urban dance. Her work explores the relationship between movement, emotion and visual space, with an evolving interest in performance and screen-dance. Based in London, she continues to develop her movement practice through contemporary training, performance and creative collaboration.
Simge began her dance training in Turkey in 2013, building a strong foundation through training, competition and performance. Her early experience includes performing at dance festivals, appearing in live television broadcasts and competing in international dance championships. She also gained experience as a dance coach at Tan Sağtürk Academy in Izmir, Turkey.
Since moving to London in 2023, she has continued training with different choreographers and studios, broadening her movement practice and technical skills. In 2026, she joined MELT under independent artist and choreographer Yuliia Palaida, continuing to train and perform on stage. In the same year, she launched her original work Anatomy of Resistance, a solo dance film rooted in contemporary fusion, marking a further development of her practice as an independent artist.
